“The
latest incident about BFM newsreader being threatened with death, rape, and
being burnt alive by those I assume to be Malay-Muslim netizens brings forth
serious questions for this country. Is this country safe for our children to
live in? If a simple point is raised against such issues such as Hudud or even
such issues as democracy and clean election can produce outburst of murder,
rape and burning people alive, what does it say about our country, its citizens
and our leadership?”… Prof Dr. Mohamad
Tajuddin Mohamad Rasdi.

How
do you view above statements?
In my point of
view, everyone in our country should take note with the statement makes by Prof
Dr. Mohamad Tajuddin Mohamad Rasdi. This is the right time for all of us to
open our eyes and think critically how to overcome this issue. Nowadays,
everyone is very loud in sharing his or her point of view. This situation has
its own pros but also may bring major problem in certain situation. Then,
people nowadays also are easily to get angry and finger point to each other.
They never care for the others thought and feeling. These types of peopl think
that they are always right. To share my view on Prof Dr. Mohamad Tajuddin
Mohammad Rasdi statement, I think both sides, the girl named Aishah and the
netizens are at fault.
At the first place, I think aishah should
never come up with a controversial perception and view on sensitive issue. As
everyone know, Hudud has been a very controversial topic in Malaysia. Everyone
has their own view and belief on this issue. So, she have to respect everyone’s
thought and opinion. She should never come up with negative comments that may
trigger and give opportunity for the others to attack her. It never brings any
benefit to anyone. Moreover, now we are living in a country with the citizens
who are overly sensitive and emotional. Every sensitive issue that have being
brought up will really affect them emotionally. So, the best solution to
overcome this issue maybe just to remain silence and only share our thought
when there is a right time.
Next, in my
opinion I think that the netizen also are at fault. They have being overly
sensitive and emotional. How can they come up with such wicked comments for a
girl who is just sharing her thought? Some of the netizens may think that
Aishah had been overboard and should be give some lessons. But that’s not the
ticket for them to give her such terrible comments. There are so many other
ways that they can do. Moreover, this case also may affect our country’s
reputation. People from the other country would assume that we are a group of
people who love to involve in crime, always involve in illegal demonstration
and regularly involve in strikes. To make the situation become worst they make
look at us as a group of terrorist. I’m very sure that everyone of us will
never be happy to be recognized as a terrorist.
All in all, everyone should take
this issue seriously. We should take an effective solution in order to solve
this problem. This situation should be handled immediately. This is not just
for the sake of us but also for the sake of our next generations. Let’s us together improve our country’s
reputation. However, no matter how our country is I am still proud to be a
Malaysian. I love Malaysia!
